Sculpted using Aves products as usual (Clay, Sculpt and Fixit) plus a bit of Duro for the hair. The piece still needs some refinements and cleaning but basically it is finished.

    Hi Luca,
Very, very nice! I like the changes you've made from what you first showed to me.
The changes to the face make her look much more like artwork but with enough differences to show your own style.
And this base looks great. Really compliments the piece nicely.
I'm looking forward to seeing her painted up.
    Congratulations,
    Craig

Luca, Great job on the face. I'm sure it's not easy to replicate an artist's style of painting or drawing. You're job is an admirable one for sure.~Gary

    Thank you all for looking.

Yes, the "conformity" to the original artwork is always an issue, not only from a technical point of view in regards to the likeness but also from an "artistic" point of view, considering what you like or dislike of the artwork used as source.

The first thing which happened to me when seeing the cover was a picture of the (young) Vanessa Williams, the original artwork seems an exact portrait of her.

But doing the sculpt as an exact portrait of the actress could mean more issues for a piece like this..., and to be honest I didn't like so much the cut of lips and eyes from the original artwork so I decided to change them a bit transforming the original "thinking of you..." look into something like the trance before the storm.

Finally casted as solid, not hollow. Four parts for a total of 800 gr. of resin...
