I started this bust from Castle Miniatures today. I tried to put the oil like sheen on but overdid it a little, that will be the first thing that is fixed tomorrow. Here is where it is at after a days work.

Cheers Carl, yeah that's supposed to be a blind eye he has a big scar running down that side of his face that catches the corner of the eye.

Looking very promising.

Great start. The blind eye...did you paint the eye normally and then use glazes/washes or did you purposely paint it with pale tones?

I painted a normal eye then used washes I then went back over the original eye with pale tones so a bit of both Paul
