Nice face. This bust is a true masterpiece. I'll begin mine pretty soon.

Lovely work on the face Dave. Is this completed or were you planning on doing any tweaks? I think some slight variation in the colour would make it look even more alive - even if just limited to part of the ears being a touch pinker, a slight greyness in the pouch under the eyes.

I think catchlights look wrong, as discussed previously. In this case specifically the face appears to be painted as though lit more from the left (which works, given the tilt of the head in the completed bust) but the catchlights are on other side so they disagree about the position of your imagined lightsource.

    Hi Einion

Thank you for your comments, I have since putting this on here done more to the face including the ears the nose, inner corners of the eyes and the colour added to the cheek area, nothing harsh. I understand your views on the catch light but it is now too late for me to change them, the catch light is only a light blue, I may be able to add a much lighter catch light on the other side of the eye, giving the appearance you suggest, but that will come when I have got the bust closer to finished to see if its needed.

    Thanks again

    Dave

    Hi Guys

Just a quick update, I am working this bust and enjoying every single piece of it, its some special piece for me and I hope it shows, still tons to do, but getting the flow of colours to work first before going and the finishing, I hope you like it.
