    Thanks Steve, normally I would agree with you about the sword, personally I think it's a very inconvenient place to carry it, but in this case my source was Osprey Men at Arms No 58 The Landsknechts, page 10. Apparently this was how they wore them, contrary lot!!!

    Hi Steve, according to the blurb on the back of the Osprey Warriors Series No49, The Landsknecht Soldier, they used a lot of contemporary illustrations, some by the Landsknechts themselves. Although given their dislike for authority figures, I can't believe anyone would have got away with telling them where to put it.
