Gentelmen,I did some more work on the Czapska, and repainted the lapels on the Kurtik dark blue, thanks to the generous advice from Planet members and Lilliput members.
I welcome your Advice and critique, this is how we all learn something from each other. In my humble opinion no one is above advice and critique,we all need it.

The figure still needs more highlights and shadows.

My formula for the dark blue is as follows:

    1- Base= Windsor blue + a little Mars black.
2- very deep shadows = pure mars black.
3- Medium highlights = cerelium blue + a very tiny amount of Cadmium yellow +
    Titanium white.
4- Extreme highlights = more white added to medium highlights.

    Yellows

Base = Cadmium yellow with a touch of Mars orange.
Medium shadows = Rembrandt burnt sienna.
    Deep shadows = Violet.
    extreme shadows = purple.
Medium highlights = chrome yellow + white
lighter highlights = medium highlight + more white.
extreme highlights = touches of Naples yellow on extrematies where ever needed.

    Brass.

    Metal - brass.
1- Base = Testors gold + some Mars Orange.
2- Medium shadows = Mars orange applie while base is still wet.
3- deep shadows = Burnt umber
4- Medium highlight = Pure Testors gold.
5- extreme highlights = Testors silver as a catch light.

When painting the lapels on the Kurtic,I accidentally got some blue on the brass buttons,I have to repaint them. :( :(

Thank you for your patience and happy painting.

    Cheers. :)

    Roc.

Roc since Guy used my comment ( ;) ), I waited a day to look more closely at your work Finally, I found somehting for you to change. Nothing! It looks terrific already without the horse. It'll look even better with the horse. I too enjoyed your mixtures. Although I paint with acrylics, color is color regardless of which medium you use. Thanks for the update.

Richard, Thank you, I appreciate it.

I also liked the red lapels, but after much good advice and research I decided to go with dark blue.

I'm not sure what color I'm going to paint the horse,I'm still thinking about it.

    Cheers.

I would like to ask the moderators if the pictures concerning this topic can be put it again, or where can I see them?

    Thank.
