This is a really nice figure, not to mention representation of a woodland indian. There are a few things that stand out. With the recent release of a number of these I'm curious as to why most of the sculptors/manufacturers insist on them almost always wering a shirt. True they did wear them, but they get boring after a bit. A bare chested warrior would lend itself well to body paint/war paint and tattoos. I guess that part comes down to personal tastes. The only other thing, and this is based on what can bee seen in the picture, is the musket. I would like to have seen a trade musket, this looks to be a military musket instead. I do love the war club, you don't see those done often let alone done right.~Gary

    Hi,
a very nice sculpted and fine painted figurine.

Perhapes one suggestion. The decoration of the Moccasins are not Seneca style. The Senecea, like other Woodland Indians had small ornamented ribbons in wave or circel form and not geometric designs like many Plainindians.

It would be of a high interest if somone could make an article of the trade muskets used at this time and traded to Indians. I have no acknowledgement on this subject and also in my vignett "The taking of Mary Jemison" Alan had perhapes used a military musket. An artiucle from a specialist would be very very helpfull.

    Best regards from Germany

    Bruno
