Almost missed this one Mark, great cold looking face tones and the rest is shaping up very nicely.
Unlike the rest of the guys I have never seen this figure before it looks really nice, what scale is it.

    Hi Ron,
the figure is 120mm scale and was made by the now long gone company known as Kirin.
    Regards
    Pete

Mark this is wonderful. You can just imagine him standing on a corner of Unter den Linden looking uber cool waiting for Lili who is fashionably late.
I love this figure and it's the only one I've ever been tempted to buy from a re-caster.. I didn't and wont.
    Cheers

    Adrian ... thanks :)

Derek ... Cheers and it is a great sculpt! :)

Fiddling about at various bits and bobs, leather needs a bit more work and the red of the collar too ... still much to do.

    Paul ... Thank you! :)

    Tony .... Many thanks :)

Leather is mostly done and apart from working the neck strap of the binocular case up is just needing a lick of Klear to set it off ....

Very nice work, Mark. As I see, you didn´t use metalic paint for the chin scales, eagle and crest of helmet, neither for buttons, the result is convincing. I like the leather of belts and the pale skin tones too.

Eduardo ... many thanks and yes all NMM it's a personal obsession :)

    Pedro mate! Many thanks :)

David ... Klear as in the floor polish, it's a water based Acrylic ( I think ) clear liquid that dries to a gloss finish ... Diluted with water it can make nice satin finishes too HTH :)

I can bring the base for it if you want to use it at a later date.
Or I can pop it in the post.

As a bit of a joke I copied part of a German map of a trench system, a " loose lips " idea :)

Maybe some of you know this already, but I believe this is the Fortunio Matania wartime illustration (May 22, 1915) from which Mr. Hansen got the idea for his figure.

    All the best,

Actually, back during the Kirin days, I found a copy of this illustration in a magazine (in color). I thought Derek would be a great choice to sculpt it. When I sent a copy of it to him, he agreed. So, he got the idea from us at Kirin. But the execution was all his.....
