    Hi guys!
This is the new 54mm figure I've made for Andrea Miniatures. It's based in the character portrayed by Orlando Bloom in the film Kingdom of Heaven. I hope you like it.
    Regards,
    Joaquin.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears as if "Orlando" just got over a major battle. If so, then where's all the blood on the blade and tunic that so much hacking away in the heat of battle would have undoubtedly created? Also, I couldn't help but nocie that the arms became metal limbs between the first two picdures. Are the arms stock pieces from another kit? If so, then whre did these pieces come from?

Nevertheless, it's a nicely painted piece. Looks good!

That's a gorgeous figure Joaquin, how do you do the mail, looks like it's embossed into a metal casting of the master, and the drapery of the mail is fantastic.

Sculpting - Same question about the arms and possibly the legs. They DO look like metal pieces from a kit. If they aren't, how did you do that, Joaquin? Very nice sculpting, nevertheless, and a good likeness of the actor! I wish I had the talent to sculpt "from life", alas.

Painting - Superb! Pete, to be fair, there is a stain of blood on the tunic, but I agree with you there should be some on the hands, arms, sword blade, etc.

    all the best,
    Dan

    Thanks to all guys!

The blood painting was the painter's choice, so I can't answer your question accurately, but I'll be happy to see your own painted version ;)

As for the mail, first, I sculpt the shape in milliput, then I make a metal casting, and finally, I work on the texture all over the metal pieces with a special tool.

    Joaquin,

Outstanding work, I like your figure very much. How did you sculpt the mail? Is it possible to post a photo of the tool you used?

Superb figure. One that will be on my "must have" list. I love the "movement" in the cloths. Just perfect!

I don't have the tool here, but I can show you a sketch.

With this tool you must make a line in one way and other in the opposite way. Something like this

    Pete,

There’s a “tasteful” smattering of blood on the surcoat and as to the sword... well, that's obvious! He's just cleaned it on the robes of his last adversary!
