I bought this bust after watching the film, 300 again.
Yedharo is the firm that produces it.
It's a nightmare to do. It need loads of prep as the head was really ill fitting and also needed filling of some broken lines. The nose guard took me about 6 attempts to glue on and even then it's not 100 percent. It's extremely fiddly to get the brush in the helmet recesses to do the flesh.
The helmet comes completely smooth and after looking at some pics realised it needed to look like hammered bronze such as the pic below.

The texture was done with Mr surfacer and a cotton bud. A technique I used as an armour modeller to texture turrets and exhausts.

I then used Mr. Hobby gold, I know it's supposed to be bronze but it was too orange and looked nothing like the props in the film.
I then applied oily washes with burnt umber and black. Highlights with MR. Hobby gold and aluminum.
Tamiya smoke was then applied diluted.
Drybrushing with more shades of gold and aluminium mixes.
The face and beard still need touching up and finishing but I wanted to get the helmet done.

Looks great so far The helmet looks really good. The extra time to add the surface texture was time well spent.

Fantastic shades of colour. I love how you have achieved the hammered effect. The face looks really lifelike and I am sure very difficult to reach with a brush. Well done.

The surface of the helmet looks really good. Much better idea than my attempt to drill small holes all over the helmet and then fill with putty. Well done.

The feel of a material of the helmet is amazing.
It's similar to something of a movie.
