    The Roswell Incident...

On June 14, 1947, farmer William Mac Brazel finds...

...on his land near the small town of Roswell, New Mexico, USA...

    ...unusual debris.

Since he cannot explain the nature and origin of the parts and believes they are the remains of a crashed plane, he first calls the sheriff, who in turn calls soldiers from a nearby military base; Mac Brazel leads them to his find...:

After a brief inspection, the soldiers, who are junior ranks, declare the rubble "not from Earth" and transport it away.

Somehow a reporter from the local newspaper found out about the matter and reported in a big way that the remains of a crashed UFO, a so-called "Flying Saucer" had been found near Roswell!

With each subsequent report across the US, the "facts" become more imaginatively embellished - and in the end there is even talk of several dead (or even alive) extraterrestrial crew members of the "flying saucer" who are in US custody on the nearby and austere secret base "Area 51".

Bereits nach kurzer Zeit gehts nicht mehr um irgendwelche "Trümmer", sondern der US-Medienkonsument muss sich die Szene auf William Mac Brazel etwa so vorstellen...:

It doesn't help at all that the US Army declares on the same day that the debris found is the remains of a secret weather balloon that was tested there and crashed, like this one, just from the US carrier "Valley Forge" is started...:

The legend of Roswell, the "Area 51" and the UFO that allegedly crashed there is born! The town of Roswell owes her constantly bubbling income from UFO-believing tourists to this day.

There are several alleged crash sites that can be visited for a fee, as well as alien museums, festivals and conventions, including the International U.F.O., established in 1991. Museum and Research Center.

Since then there have been several thousand books - mostly the most adventurous ones, several dozen mostly bad feature films, hundreds of congresses with the crudest "evidence" and a number of - proven - fake documentaries.

Trump's favorite broadcaster "Fox" was the most famous of these "documentaries", which allegedly show US scientists on "Area 51" examining an extraterrestrial "corpse" from the Roswell UFO and which is said to date from 1947 , radiated...:

    This "documentary" is demonstrably fake!

The spiral cord of the wall telephone, clearly visible in the background, was not introduced to the market until much later!

It is now accepted as proven that the film was shot in 1995, as confirmed by testimonies from one of the "scientists" involved, as well as the British special effects specialist John Humphreys , who made the "Alien's" latex doll...:

The belief in the "Roswell legend" has remained unbroken to this day - especially in the USA: 21 percent of 1,247 US citizens responded to a survey in March 2013 as to whether they believed that a UFO had crashed in Roswell and whether the government was hiding this Yes, 47 percent No, and 32 percent not sure.

A large part of the blame for the emergence of the rampant "Roswell legend" is also borne by the US military with their - also demonstrably false! - Story of the crashed weather balloon!

In reality, the wreckage found by Brazel in 1947 was a train of neoprene balloons with attached radar reflectors about a meter on each side - which were developed as part of what was actually top secret so-called Project "Mogul"...

However, not to observe the weather, but to measure the shock waves from rockets that had broken the sound barrier from the strat sphere, in order to also determine the possible ignition of a Soviet atomic bomb - a top-secret backfire project...
