Having become a fan of the TV series Game of Thrones, I couldn't help myself when it came to Nuts Planet releases of four of the key characters; Daenerys, Tywin, Tirion and Jon.

This is Jon Snow, Lord Commander of the Knight's Watch . He's a sullen, brooding character and a real bastard.

Apologies for the crappy IPhone photos. I'll do better next time. The main torso is just base coated at this stage. I plan to do a lot more on the cloak and the leather over the coming days.

I will definitely add snow effects on the bust, once he's painted just like in the reference photo. The bruising and dried blood on his forehead and cheek will be added once I feel I've got the skin tones right. Not easy to replicate such pale cold skin, which is why I'll add a few washes of blue and purple onto the skin to really make him look and feel cold.

Any tips, suggestions or hints on making the skin tone look colder would be most gratefully accepted.

On £340.000 per episode I'd be miserable too, how are you supposed to live off that.

    Very nice painting Tony.

    Good start Tony,
Mix some purple into the skintone's for a colder look. Specially on the cheekbone, nose, ears,
Some more blue at the under eye socket.

    Thanks everyone,

    I appreciate your comments.
Marc, I've completed the acrylic painting phase now, so I will add some oil washes of blue and purple on the skin.

Here's a few more WIP pics.

    Tony,
I think you cannot use the picture out of the movie. It is a acteur who just came out of a warm room, get some artificial snow on him and is not very well maked-up cold.
You have to do it right, and knowing your skills you can do it, even with the way of try and error.
Maybe a better picture from your figure without the hard light.
