I had a stab at this one - only WWII thing I have! My meagre research told me the red crosses on helmets were often done in the field, which let me off the hook a bit.
I think I might have overdone the weathering on the trousers, but these guys would have spent a lot of time on their knees, tending to casualties.
    Anyway, all comments welcome

    Hi Anthony,
Looks pretty good to me and I don't think you have overdone the weathering.
    cheers

Nice subject - given the snowy ground and, as you say, the fact that they'd have spent a lot of time on the ground I think the dirty knees are appropriate. Helmet crosses look good too.
    Cheers

    Nailed it buddy.

The lighting makes it look a little like the sunset
at the edge of a clearing perhaps in the Ardennes .
Quite atmospheric in a way !

    Hi Anthony,
This guy looks like he's in Bastogne, would have had his work cut out. Really looks nice.
    Regards
    Chris.

Thanks for the kind comments guys. A word on the uniform - took me ages to get that shade of washed-out green. Worth it though. Shame this is OOP.
