    Hi Guys,

Here is the next project I have on my workbench, Jean le Bon from Elite.
It's a very fine figure with minimal seam lines.
I show you my first pictures. The face is almost done but I have to do some more work on the lips and eyeballs. The hair and other parts have just a base coat and lightning and shading still have to be done.
This figure will not be as good as Brains paintjob on it but I will do my best.

Thanks for looking, comments and critiques are welcome.

    Hi Marcel
Is the face painted in oils?

    Brain,

The face is painted with only acrylics, I still want to try oils but this is something for the future.
Everthing will be painted with acrylics, except the metals these are done with gunze.

    Marcel,
If you feel comfortable with acrylic why don't you stay with it.
You are doing a very good job.

Marc: Thanks, for sure I will stay mostly with acrylics, but I think that for example horses are better or maybe easier painted with oils.
    (but maybe I'm wrong)

Stephen, John, ray and roland: Thanks for the nice words, well appreciated!!

I found some time to paint a bit more and started highlighting and shadowing the blue on the upper torso.
A little more work has to be done on the blending.

    Marcel.

    Good work Marcel,
You get the hang for acrylic.

Thanks Marc, I hope so. But I it's also the great figure that almost paints it self. Excellent quality and detail of the chainmail and other parts.

And secondly I recieved the book from Jaume and Daniel recently and it's a great help for me.

    update on Jean le Bon

Some update on the Elite figure:
I found some time to paint over the weekend and I finished the face and the hair; maybe I need some deeper shadows for the hair.
Some additional shadows on the chainmail and metal plating have been applied.
The metal plating can use some more extreme shadows. I painted the lower belt and the “fleur de lis” on the front part of the figure. De “fleur de lis” has only been highlighted and I still have to apply some shadows.
I took some quick photos, the face is not very sharp on these pictures.

Thanks for looking and any comments are welcome.

    Marcel.
