    Hi Folks,
A while a go I finished the research for this beautiful sculpted figure from Heroes & Villains.
I started painting this guy and finished, more or less the head. For sure I'm going to touch here and there but, basically all volumes are in place.
Here it is and any feedback is more then welcome.

Before each project I'm trying to create a 3D draft to see where this project will go and to check the figure - base proportions. Here it is. Let me know your thoughts.

Looks like this will be a sharp figure. I like the restraint in shading his hat.

As a side observation, I also prepped and primed the H&V confederate officer and it was a breeze to clean up, assemble and prime.
Good job H&V and thanx to Alex and Anthony from Bent Bristle for lightening my wallet with these two awesome sculpts.

I like how you put thought into the base/composition before setting out to paint the figure too. Nice work (y)

    Thanks guys! Much appreciated!(y)
I'm glad that you like the face and the hat.
Now the black - blue coat will follow. I'll try something else then acrylics. I'm planning to use oils and need your help on this.
What oil palette would you use for this very dark blue?

Depends if you want pristeen blue or a dusty in the field look.
