New release from Imperial Gallery, Scots Fusilier Ensign Crimea, Alma 1854, Sculptor Carl Reid box art by David Mitchell

This is the latest figure released from The Imperial Gallery. The kit is 75mm in scale and cast in seven white metal parts and a resin cast base. All parts are supplied in a foam lined box with colour box art by the very talented David Mitchell.

The flag has the brass rod cast into the main stem of the flag. Detail of the Union Jack flag pattern is etched into the surface.

The main torso of the figure is a one piece casting, a closer inspection of front and rear of the part shows a good level of detail and the quality of the casting.

Location points for the hip bag and sword hilt, test fitting of the parts is good.

The left arm locates nicely into the shoulder socket and the hand rests on the hip near the attached bag.

The flag locates nicely onto the shoulder of the figure and once the right arm is attached it will help to hold the weight of the flag. Blue tak was used for the purpose of the review to hold parts in place.

    Conclusion:
A fine release in a very popular scale from a world class sculptor. All parts are cast well and dry fitting of parts is good. Minimal cleanup of casting seam lines. The box art painting really shows this figure at its best. Highly recommended.
