Great work so far. Specially like the helmet and the dust wheathering.
Just a little point about the cardboard background: If you don't want to use those expensive printed backgrounds or just want to take a quick snapshot and not wasting any time preparing a photo setup, You could use a computer flat screen -switched off- as a neutral background. I always take my WIPs pics this way, fast and cheap
