Continuing on with the film theme the next piece I plan to undertake will be the CGS bust of Doc Holiday played in the movie - Tombstone by Val Kilmer.

The bust is beautifully sculpted by Carl Reid and casted very well by Graham Scollick at CGS,there is hardly any filling required,my piece only has the right hand to fill at the wrist are, everything else is very well done.

Again this is another one of my favourite films so its great to find another bust available from the movie.

I will be cracking on with my 200mm Imperial Guardsman this weekend and the Doc Holiday bust will fill in when required.

Great stuff, Brian, I'm sure this will be a "Doozie", just like all your others. 'Doc' Holliday has always been one of my heroes since boyhood. He had a liking for the Colt "Lightning" six-shot, which was a double action, with a bird's-head grip. It's shown in the film,I believe. I had the pleasure of shooting one many years ago, before it became 'illegal', and it was pretty accurate, even in my untutored hands:rolleyes:. The Albert Foster Jr. collection has/had a number of examples.
Sorry, didn't mean to ramble on.......

    Cheers,
