Hi Costas + Xenofon

Yes, I'll go with June 1st + 3 months. That will give everyone good time to get the chosen piece done, and allow some space for other projects too.

If they all turn out well, there's going to be a whole lot of the same figure at Euro this year

Now just need to know which one to order :)

This is going to be good!!!

Phil

It seems like, that we are going for 3 months starting from 1st of June and ending 1st of September. As for the figure.. the templar of romeo seems to be first so far.. but we will see till Monday... Many people will vote over the weekend.. so we will see...

Xenofon

I just want to get some clarification. When people say Romeo Models Templar, do they mean Romeo's Templar RM 54-41? Or are they refering to Romeo's Crusader Knight 13th Century, RM 54-56 which has been pictured in many of the posts on this thread. The latter figure was the one I was voting for. The only reason I ask is that the Templar (54-41) is also a handsome figure, and I thought people may have been voting for that one as well.

Hmmm that's a good point indeed Glenn.. but I believe that most people refer to the crusader knight... since that's the only one pictured here. I may be wrong though...

Xenofon

Hi guys, I think the figure that is getting most proposals is the Crusader figure. I also agree with the 3 month time span, you never know this could become a 4 seasons a year project!!!!

Cheers Steve Walks
This is the Romeo figure..Knight Templar_54-056

I like the idea of 3 months to complete the figure and of three photos of the figure front, back, and general. Now how about ground work? How elaborate can we get? Do you think it would take away from the completed figure? Let me know what everone thinks?

Yes Steven, that's the figure most people suggest.
Richard there is no limitation on the groundwork. You can do whatever you feel like.

Xenofon

I am getting more and more interested in doing this every time I read a new follow on post

I just wanna get started...

Dave

Brushes ready, space cleared. All I need is the figure. Then Awayyyyyyyy......

Looks like y'all are headed towards the knight but here are my suggestions none-the-less. :)

Kevin D.

Kim, Dave, just a little patience more and we are off to go :) Hehehehehe.

Kevin thanks for your suggestions... The first figure, who makes it?? I would really like to add it to my grey army.

choice #2... from Pegaso
Hi all !
Count me in this project too ! I'm ok for the 3 months(June1 to September 1).My choice for the figures :

Pegaso's "Sans Culotte" and Kevin D's choice # 2.

Poli kali idea paidia !!!

Hi all,

this project is really a good idea.
We will see lots of differents way to paint the same figure. With lots of skills ans imagination.

But if we choose a napoleonian or even the knight templar we wont have enough space for our imagination.

I dont want to see all final results looks all the same. There is too much limitation with these kind of figures.

We should choose figures who let us more options. do you understand my meaning?

JP

JP - I agree, I just love Napoleonics, but you have a good point. Pegaso has a great german / celt barbarian but it is in 75mm.

Xenofon,

That Ligne Lancer is from Andrea, Kit S7-F25, I believe. I'm itching to paint it!!!

The Russian archer has strong paint possibilities but I suspect it is outside of the norm, armour and shield should be a delight for who ever takes a crack at it. Not my norm but a pretty neat figure and one I may try to emulate as my sculpting skills improve. And, whatever figure gets picked, this should be great fun!

Regards,

Kevin D.

Thanks a lot for the info Kevin,.

Jean Paul I understand what you say, but imagine the 90mm templar of Pegaso. I know already a few versions of it. Also don't forget that the groundwork can also give a lot of variety to the figure itself.
Anyway, that's why we make a voting here... so we can see what most people would like to paint. I have never painted a figure of that era in my life.. but if that's what will be chosen... then I will paint it.. just for the fun of it. :)
Enjoy the whole project people... and next time we will do something different. Lots of ideas and feedback will be collected from this time, and will be used on the next project.
