"I mean business" Maltese Furban c1700

    Hi to all...........

    This is a recent online project on El Passo Honroso, of the Warriors Pirate Captain bust in 1/9th scale as sculpted by John Rosengrant which can be followed from induction till the end on this thread..........

    Marc and Doug.........can I get to your respective requests sometime tomorrow please as I need to hit the hay now......I'm knackered and have to wake up early tomorrow :( thanks to you both as well for your overly praise.......much appreciated.........Marc, for starters you can follow the thread I posted in my introductory post, and just a couple of posts before the last, you can find the mixes I used + how it was done........I will elaborate more tomorrow don't worry :D

    What an amazing piece, I am really loving this, I must admit I never thought of using lead foil as the material for leather, a good tip I think, on a great conversion.

    As with most good conversions they look better than the original, I am not saying that the sculpting by John Rosengrant is bad, just restricted to being able to take the casting process into account, whereas when converting for your own collection, there is always more scope.

    Damned impressive conversion with some beautiful painting to top it off, I really would have loved this as a commercial piece.......just great

    Just as another pointer Ray, do you not think he looks like he could have been Wyatt Earp, just by changing the hat to a stetsan.........hm interesting
