Now it's looking like this is going to be a biggy and not the half dozen figure display I initially planned I need to take stock and work out exactly which figures I'm going to use and how big a base I'm going to need.

First of the infantry figures. I haven't decided on a uniform colour yet but from what research I've done I'm leaning towards blue.

Well Roger, you are a braver man than I. My only flat is mounted in a frame on the wall, your one will take quite a section of wall if you carry on.

These figures really are beautifully engraved. Engravings like these really do make the painters job so much easier.

Today I've done some more work on these two Pancerni. There's still quite a bit of highlighting to do on them but that's a job for tomorrow.

Progress on the musicians. These are proving the most difficult so far and there's still a lot to do on them.

Having known a number of musicians, I'm not a bit surprised you are having difficulty with them.
