Here is the second piece I finished. It took me some long nights to finish it in time. But I´m happy I did, although several things could have been done better. I have changed the flag for a hanging one and also changed the stones of the basework. I´m still not 100% happy with the flag, maybe I´m going to do another try in the future. Placing the figure more vertical was not possible without sever re-sculpting so I left it like this. But thanks for all the input.
The figure and basework are all painted with acrylics.
Here are the pictures and comments are welcome ofcourse!

    Cheers,
    Marcel.

MArcel, you have been busy, another fine piece, I really like your work and in particular this piece with its setting, your paint mixes and application of colour transitions are very smooth.

Markus: Thanks for the compliments and congrats. Funny to see your son is also born on the 26th. Well these are days you will always remember.

Carl, Tommi, Jay, Marc, Ken, Steve and John thanks for the compliments well appreciated!
About the flag I think it´s a bit too long and to much volume around the pole.

Marc: I have to thank my wife for the patience and taking care of the kids the last weeks so I had a bit more time to paint.

    Cheers,
    Marcel.

A really good work. This illustration was the first choice I thought for my participation in the Michel Saez expo, but I ended doing the dragoons trumpetter because it was a much easier conversion and I am not very used to this kind of work. I really like your version and hope to see it in soon in Girona.

Nice work, Marcel! Is San Narciso Hussars the Spanish regiment from the Peninsula War 1808-1813 period? And what a scale of the one?
