Nuts Planet have really gone to town on this release , there being no more than 3 purchase options , the full package consisting of 42 parts 745e35_34ad67a79e7f4c9d97ed6b451d246244.jpg ,the base consisting of 21 parts 745e35_5137aafdc1864a6ebba7ec4b5121b7ba.jpg or the Humanoid(picture above) which we will be looking at in this little review.

So what is a humanoid ...a robot with human features , in today's fast moving and technological jumps we are now seeing robots performing amazing tasks , with the main push being from the Far East , Japan and the like.

This release is a follow on in the Ghost Company series from Nuts planet and is a scene of a humanoid with a mechanical dog , this guy is loaded up searching for friends to repair or rescue ( this is the scene cast into the base package for use with the humanoid.

What are we looking at :

    Title: Humanoid (with Dog)

    Reference: GSC90-002

    Scale: 1/20th (90mm)

    Material: Gray Resin

    No of parts: 22

    Sculptor: Ki-Yeol Yoon

    Box art: Ki-Yeol Yoon

As always the packaging is the distinctive blue cardboard box with the colour logo's and full colour box art ......good reference , inside parts were held in bags with them all being wrapped in bubble wrap. Also included is inserts with various views and a layout of parts.

Prep...considering the amount of parts prep on all of the resin is minimal consisting of just taking off runners with a sharp knife ( be careful!!!) and putting the parts together ( perhaps it might have been an idea to have small construction insert as well for those newer to the hobby)

In this part we will look at the main figure of the humanoid

Parts consist of the main body , the arms , legs the head and a massive tool ( spanner type) in a hand and a separate hand Nuts Humaoid and dog 016.jpg , together with his workbox in the form of a backpack Nuts Humaoid and dog 011.jpg fully laden up with everything he might need and of course the feet Nuts Humaoid and dog 017.jpg

Now I am not used to so many parts but on dry fitting them together found it fairly easy !!, fit was spot on with torso ie arms and legs fitting well and cleanly. there is also various pipes as well as the feet and head to fit into position.

The sculpting is very cleverly done with really clean lines on all parts , all adding to the robotic human look of the piece.

The facial features are well done with details being good on the sides particularly , the eyes are holes with a central piece Nuts Humaoid and dog 015.jpg ...quite sinister IMO !!!, but when he is all put together the position and pose is very natural , his head is turned ..perhaps he is looking for his comrades that he saw leave the refurbishment station so many moons ago .

Lets now look at the remaining parts....

The humanoid's companion and workhorse ..the dog and then we have the base for this pairing .

Firstly the dog , minimal pre again as expected , the parts consist of the main body the head , the tail ( forgot to put it in this picture...sorry Nuts!!) and a workbag that attaches to the top .

This mecha dog is the equivalent of a donkey of the armies of old , he carry's the addition tools which we can see on the bag , these are very well detailed , the bag fits to a harness already sculpted to the body , the fit of the head and tail are good , the features of the dog are good and of course the the muscles are the same , one leg has a mechanical joint , cleanly worked . You could also if you wish to add more perhaps by using the bits and bobs , cogs and wheels from your friendly jeweller !!

On now to the base .....this is a nice bit of work very full of rubble and various wheels buried , it looks good and will look even better enhance more both by your own addition and of course the painting ( Note the base for the full package is different in that we have an injured humanoid under rubble and a vehicle. )

    Final Thoughts

This is a good addition which you can keep as it is or gradually build up by getting the other packages , sculpting , casting and presentation are first class and if fantasy robotics are your thing then this will provide great subject matter , both in value for money and also in the painting enjoyment it will give you.

Thanks to A.jpg for the review piece.

    Nice review indeed.
I am liking this one too, even if I can not figure out why a robot would need a backpack with human looking stuff in it.
