Aha! i hope to have this done for next meeting :)

    Many thanks :)

    Pedro, again thank you!

Marcel ... thanks! and i'm happier with them now :)

Steve ... cheers. struggling somewhat, but thats part of the fun :)

    Eyes down.

slightly increased the size and added a bit more detail and reflections. the specific scene i'm using is the one where Deckard is going over to the Tyrell corp. for the first time. about to test Rachel.

Mark, THAT'S IT! Those eyes are absolutely perfect (actually some of the best painted eyes I've seen in miniature)! Well done and I think the right thing to do in correcting. VERY nice!

Jay ..... Thanks :) i could add some more to the eyes but i want to get on with this so they are staying as is.

skin is about done apart from the ears and back of the neck, working on the beard but still got a ways to go yet..... took some shots outside as the colours are so much nicer from natural light

    :)

Jeff ... many thanks :D i,m still not sure if i'm going to do a bit more work on the eyes. they lack certain sparkle......

to save my mind from painting all that stubble, i blocked in the shirt, tie and coat.

the shirt. only two designs to choose from and since i have chosen the scene the design of the shirt followed. the tie is squares of red fading to grey with black or dark grey lines .... uhhhhh!

    ;)

Carl ..... thanks! and no the reflections are just paint effects so far, i'll give the eyes a final wipe over with a layer of klear when i finish this off along with the inner edge of the lower lip....

shirt and tie are finished as far as i'm concerned, not perfect by a long chalk :) beard almost finished ........

Luis ... many thanks, I had forgotten this old thread and the fact I never posted final pic :(

Grant, an oldie for me and lots I can see that I would do different now :) And thanks :)

Okay so I went and got it out of the cabinet and shot it under my new lighting rig ....

This was painted before I started using an airbrush for blocking in and it kinda shows.

Sorry for the 2 year delay posting a final picture ... :notworthy:

Thats pretty awesome, its a great likeness of Harrison Ford playing Deckard. The eyes are very lifelike and I love the patterns on his shirt and tie

    Hello Mark,

looks great. What do you think about the Roy Batty's around..?
Would be a great drive for me catching up with this sculpt and have my own Hauer to be painted by a master like you.

Roy Batty is part of my ' dual sculpt' topic in which I devide my energy on Rutger and James Gandolfini. Both presents for some dear people I know. I feel a bit obliged to make Rutger perfect cause he's Dutch as I am :) Still some work but will turn out fine...
In the long run I will use Roy's head also for ' Eric' aka ' De soldaat van Oranje'with glasses.
Soon I will go on with Batty.
