How to paint a German jacket/tunic so it looks like the tweed fabric?

    Ok I saw someone who painted the Tom Cruise character Valkyrie, and it looks like he painted the German officers jacket/tunic with a tweed pattern which looks really good.
    So with this in mind,how does one paint that pattern so the clothing looks like it is a tweed fabric?

    By carefully studying those pictures and copying the method with very sharp brushes, many small strokes following the tweed pattern, and, above all, applying the 3P method (patience, patience, patience).
