Hospitaller cast and painted

    Hi all

    I have now started painting the fig Kept size low otherwise !!!

    Using vallejo and have refrained from using metallics

    could have done better but there is always a next time

    Yes It is entirely scratch moulded and cast.

    David,

    What I like about this figure is that it is not a subject you see covered often. I like the detail you have drawn out in the armor, and think you have done a quality sculpt.

    I also like your approach to the painting of it. You have your own style - it is not the typical style, but that is what I like about it. You are brave to paint without metallics, and I like the outcome.

    I am not too much of a painter if I am a sculptor at all but I do it as a part of a complete modelling cycle.I tend to go for overall effect though I leave no stone unturned to research the subject. I find much inspiration in this site. I will soon start painting the Janissary which I feel took some of my enthusiasim from this figure.
