    Greetings friends!!!
Not so long ago, a Ukrainian manufacturer of plastic models presented a new series of miniature figures for the Greco-Persian Wars.

I can't go through without buying pieces for one of my favorite periods.
Now I present a review of one of the hoplites, of which three have been released so far.
The box art is made in the usual form for plastic model manufacturers - it is a beautiful picture, not a painted figure, as is customary in the classic miniatures. 1.jpg

On the back of the box, information about the contents and recommendations for painting.

It should be said that the declared scale is 1/32. And this is not the usual size for us, lovers of historical miniatures. This is REAL 1/32... I.e. the figurine is very small, almost like a figurine in 1/35 mastaba.
Is it bad? On the one hand, we are used to the fact that the scale of 1/32 (54mm for the eyes) has now grown a lot. On the other hand, the miniature size of these figurines attracts. And the cost of the sets is not very high in comparison with the classic miniature. The series will develop, supplemented by riders, Persian opponents ... you can please yourself with a large-scale diorama. It should be borne in mind that the hoplites will come with two hands of the right hand - with a sword and with a spear. This will allow you to vary the figures on the diorama. You can also change the hands of the figurines in general, as well as put the torso on other legs. This opens up the possibility of conversions. And it will increase the number of warriors in your diorama.

The quality of the figures is excellent! The only drawback is that the underside of the shield is completely smooth, without imitation of characteristic details - loops, laces, tassels on the loops ... you will have to make them yourself, or close your eyes to this, given the scale and the number of figures in the composition.

Good to hear from you here again Sergey.
Look forward to seeing some of these painted up by you my friend. Thanks for taking time to share Masterbox Hoplite.
Impressed by the anatomy & fine detail.
Am sure they will encourage young figure modellers to try historic subjects too.

They are Trep..I had expected quality might have slipped in “these dark times” as someone I know in Kyiv terms it..but no, it’s pretty good stuff..and inexpensive..sergey didn’t comment on the plastic, but it’s bit harder than ICM or Mini-art and easier to deepen arm holes etc..
