Hi all
Now on my bench there are two great sculpts by Raul Garcia Latorre for H&V miniatures.
I've started with Watson. I think the eyes are ok but i'm not happy with the skin tone.
Thanks for watching
Pedro

As Bob says, two great busts.
The fact that you are not happy with the flesh tones, suggests you will get there in the end.
That's dedication. (y)

Hi Pedro

Never painted these so following with interest , looks like your sketching in the fleshwork so far , as others have said you will sort it

Eyes look okay to me

Looking forward to seeing more

Have FUN @ the bench

The eyes are good, Watson's skin tone in real life is not easy to copy. He always looks a bit washed out when I watch him.

Are you planning on doing the pin stripes on the suit...

It seems that there are 2 versions of this bust: one like mine with coat and overcoat, and other with jaket and coat with a medal.
In my case i'm planning to do the overcoat with a single dark color, and the coat a light brown with beije and red pin stripes defining large squares.

Hi Pedro

never realised there's a overcoat version but think I prefer the medal one

Yes, I thought you would :).
I think the medal version is when you buy the bust "solo", and my version is for the set of the 2 busts, but i'm not sure.

Great work, keep at it.. I think my version has the medal.. Didnt realise they did two versions.. I also have Poirot ( David Suchet ) Captain Hastings and the bumbling Detective.. Great busts with alternate heads. ( with or without hat )
