Well many moons ago I posted this pic of Elite's Highlander bust:



I've actually managed to finish him now, so here he is!
(I may try different backgrounds in the future...........)





In summary; the brow, crows feet and bags around the eyes were reculpted with magic sculp, and the beard added with kneadatite. Also, I used Mr Surfacer on the bonnet to add a rough wollen look.

painted with acrylics, except for the belt (oils) and bonnet (enamels) and brooch (graphite pencil).

Some of you saw him at the Expo, but please, constructive criticisms welcomed and positively encouraged!

Awesome work Rob..........all good things are worth waiting for. You have done a super job with this bust and I can not see anything wrong in what you've done........sculpting or painting.

now....off to cool mini.....lol

I will make one minor critique (and it may be the photo as the light is shining directly on the eye) in the first painted bust pic his right pupil seems a bit cross eyed. Pointed in to the nose? Does that make sense?

I think you've done some really worthwhile changes to this bust Rob..altogether making him unique..the different textures add real interest.

You'v done a brilliant job on this bust and the face is outstanding.If i had to criticise anything about the figure I reckon his shirt is a bit too white but believe me thats a minor point.Hope your going to Euro as i'd love to see him in the flesh

Well this one is not good , is not very good, is AWSOME. All convertions and additions gave character, and the painting is just super. I appreciate the use of different materials and the final result justifie them all !!!! BRAVO just this !

it really is a great conversion/rework.... ageing the Latorre bust
