Highland King - 120mm Firing Line Miniature

Tony started a thread about identifying this figure and I took some photos of the finished one I completed back in 1997. At the time it had some of the best cast chainmail that had ever been produced, especially in resin. This figure was one of two that I bought and did them on single foot bases. The base is a Ken Thomas Antique Oak with the plaque being used from the kit.

Now out of production from Actramac Difusion the figure has become a classic. I recently traded several kits for this figure and the Viking that I plan to do together as a vignette.

Beautifully painted Guy. I note that you chose to paint the cloak in a plain colour,rather than a plaid pattern.

Thanks Tony. I have seen this figure done in many different plaids as well as solid colors. Besides, I don't think that all the Highlanders just had plaid capes to wear and wore many different colored cloths that were available.
