    hi everyone,

i have just recently (3months ago ) started painting miniatures............before that i used to paint the big stuff ...1:6 and above but i got really bored with the large scale and quit painting for a year.

i always liked the minis but never ever thought i could paint them..........anyhoo after months of looking at putty n paint and the forums here......i decided i could not resist the urge to try anymore.
long story short i have now painted 5 or 6 and have 30 ish ready and waiting on the shelf.............talk about addictive :wacky::wacky::wacky: !!!

i do paint in oils as i cant blend acrylic for shit at these scales :D

i will post pics of my first few minis when i get some time to take photo's ........but for now here is a link to an album of the big stuff i have painted over the years http://s1037.photobucket.com/user/buckledup/library/

anyway think that should do for an intro and its great to be here after a long time watching from the background

    thanks
    paul.:):)

Excellent album pics (I especially liked the very last one ;)).

Coming down in scale from 1/6th to 1/16th or 1/35th will take some adjustment but it's a great way to reinvigorate your passion for the hobby.

    Welcome to the Planet!

Yeah, most guys have gone from smaller scales to larger, as they get older. I started out with HO and 1/72 Airfix figures, when I was a kid, and I took the first steps into casting back then, too, when I made plaster molds of some Airfix Prussian Landwehr and cast them out of old tire weights. When I got back into the hobby after college, I settled on 54mm for my toy soldiers, though I've gotten into Maschinen Krieger kits, which are scaled at 1/20, and so, I paint 1/20 figures now, too.

I look forward to seeing more of your work!

    Prost!
