I recently acquired the four kits of YS Masterpieces 1821 Series and decided to review the 90mm figure first. This is a limited edition kit of 350 total castings and was created and sculpted by Carl Reid.

All four kits arrived in a sturdy black cardboard box with the parts sealed inside a clear zip-lok bag with the bag sandwiched between layers of foam. The bottom photograph above shows the 7 resin parts out of the bag and box for inspection. Each kit comes with a certificate of authenticity showing the numbered edition of each kit.

Above you see various multiple views of the head, legs and torso all cast as one piece. The attention to detail Carl has achieved is awesome.

    Conclusion:
An excellent kit from YS Masterpieces with clean and crisp casting. Some seam lines and mold blocks will need to be removed. Highly recommended.

One of the best figures i've ever saw about greek revolution in 1821. The rifle is called "kariofili". I hope Ys masterpieces will do more figures about this period of Greek history and in other scales like 75 or 54mm!
