    Hi Malc

I salute you mate ...that horse is excellent ...if it wasn't for the unpainted resin showing I would have double looked ...really well done

Intrigued about the wax thing ....is it just for oils ? .....how do you use it ?

    Look forward to more

    Thanks for sharing

    Happy Benchtime

Hi Nap, thank you for your comment.

I am no artist so I am not really knowledgeable on art material, however the wax ..... Gamblin cold wax... I use mainly on clothing ect gives a matte finish and helps with drying as do so turpentine such as Michael Hardings.

There are others I will be trying at a later date..( on a 200mm guard or hussar if I can get my mitts on one).

The other stuff i use is WN liquin oleopasto this does a similar job but gives a semi matte sheen....i.e on the horse.

By adjusting the amount gives slightly differing finishes.

Yip Malc it looks good to me, colour spot on and nice transitions were the black and brown meet, looking forward to seeing the colours of the riders uniform and saddle cloth etc in place and that will look impressive.

Its been awhile since I posted on this SBS mostly because I have not been at my bench.

However that is now changed so I though I would post the work I am doing now..

    basing up the Cuirassier.

Will also be continuing with the cuirassiers hores at the same time.

Continuing with the cuirassier mount, thought the horse still has work to be done around head and hoof ECT.

I wanted to get a bit of colour on the sadde and other equipment.

Bits I cannot see will be used from other web sources.

    Hi Planeteers.
After sometime away I will be returning to my bench. I will continue with this duel.
My bench room is at present having new heating installed so will all fine and dandy.
