The head has been baked a couple times. I'm now going in and working on the eyes, ears, nose, and right side of the jaw. This final tweaking is just in the begining stages. I think the weakness of the head is the way it looks straight on. I'll be addressing this next.

Great work, Gary! I'd recommend filling in the neck. If there is anything that draws my eye on this sculpt, it's that the jaw needs more volume. Adding the neck would probably have made this more obvious. Eager to see more....

I come from the land of Lincoln! I was raised in Springfield, IL and have been a Honest Abe history buff for many years now.

I will say that I am most impressed with your rendition! Totally awesome!

You most make the trek west to visit the Lincoln presidential Library.

Keep up the great work, what are plans with the head?

Wonderful figure Gary. I just saw a copy of one of his life masks and this looks just like it.

Thanks for checking out this thread felleas, it's pretty old. Sadly this is also one of the many unfinished things I have. Think I'll break out the sculpey and start working on the neck. Look for pics in a day or two. I'll probably take it all the way down to his shirt and coat collar. Not sure what I'll do with this one, but I'd like to do another Abe, maybe a figure. ~Gary
