    Hawk Miniatures are please to announce the second figure in the Assaye series.

    It is a 75mm figure of Captain John Blakiston Royal Engineer who was one of Arthur Wellesley's main advisers who rode out with Wellesley to review the Maratha encampment before the battle.

    Now that's nice !! , it's been a long time since I have painted a Napoleonic figure I could be very tempted but please tell me that the hat is separated from the head so I could get in and paint the eyes first .

    Thanks for your comments and likes guys. The other two figures in the series will be released by April.

    The hat is a separate casting so easy access to the face and eyes for the paint brush. If you are down for Welling or the BMSS shows in April you can have a good look at all the figures in the series.

    Just started putting this one together and it is a lovely piece. The casting of the map if very fine and the fit of the one piece sabre and sash end is good enough for it to be fitted after painting as is the hat.
    Hoping to get this and Wellesley finished ready for the BMSS Annual Show in April.
