    Hi,

i follow your great work on this bust from the first try and it's awsome.
Please don't change this one again, this one is now perfect Hans Landa.
Absolute brilliant work on this character. It's one of my favorite actor characters. You have captured him so perfect like this bust is alive.
Can't wait to see this masterpiece painted like in the movie. This bust will hopefully finished soon and aviable.

    Greetings

    Stefan

    Dear Stefan,

he is my favorite too. I had not been prepared when I saw the movie for the first time and I choked of laughing. It's his sponteanious way of acting, the contrasts in his mimics that makes him very funny.
The way I have been trying to depict him in the beginning was wrong. For some time I had been living of drawing caricatures and comics and that's still bothering me sometimes.

I still sometimes have trouble with volume of the skull but it improves.

When finished I will do some homecasting and see how the painting evolves. The sketches I sometimes do already provide nice filling.

    thank you for your reaction!

    Gruß,

    René

    Merci,

I am working on it. Don't want to make it too straight. The wrinkles you see now will be flattened.

    thanks guys!

now the fun part starts, the detail on epaulettes.
Need to work out his back also. Some refining of ears.

and thanks Anton for inspiring and helping me out when I felt unsure about some things. Really kept me going, gracias!

Personally I think when painted, the black leather coat will give a very nice contrast with the skintones and grey uniform together.
Wether to let him look surprised, angry, it's really up to the painter, depending on how the eyebrows are placed. Te iris need to be placed half on the upper eyelid, this will give him the look of the inquisitionar.
