I begin this wonderful bust form Nocturna Models in Spain.

The quality of modeling and casting is excellent; no mold imperfection or bubbles.
I think it has a more than adequate size: painting fast and satisfying.

In these pictures I show how I start playing with leather, a material that I love to paint.

This time I used the base Dark brown leather Andrea that always gives me good result to start. Lights adding intense orange vallejo and ending with a color that I liked enough to finish the orange leather: Light Rust AK.

The shadows tell me how many lights need and if are enough or should add more tones.

Looks like a great start. I hadn't seen this bust before now.
Great technique on the leather, when I first looked I thought it was painted in oils, please see that as a compliment.
    Will follow with interest.
    Cheers

I bought this figure in Leganes Contest, in Spain.
