I bought this figure at a figure show last weekend and while I'm waiting for some supplies to arrive so I can finish the Greek goddess I thought I'd start on Gunter. The kit is a 90mm Andrea kit from the third reich series. I was disappointed with the cast quality nothing fit together and it took a lot of trimming and putty to get it together ( not uncommon for Andrea I've heard). Anyway here he is started any comments and criticisms are always welcome.

    Andrew.

Hi andrew, good start my friend,i know how you feel about the poor fit of parts,i did this figure in 2008 and i had a nightmare with the fit of parts, especially the the part where the figure joins the seat, although i like andrea's miniatures and they are a big company i feel the casting's and fittings are very poor, good luck with the rest of the figure, look forward to seeing it completed.

Great face - Did you consider going a little darker with his jacket? Personal taste....but I figure a navy guy should be wearing navy blue or the Deutsch equivalent.

The face looks absolutely stellar; is it in acrylics?

Thanks for the comments guys. Colin I plan to go slightly darker on the jacket but not much I'm following the box art which isn't too dark.
    Steve yes it's all acrylics

Thanks Mei and Mitsutaka. I did some more work today. Painted the jacket a darker blue, did some work on the hair and beard, painted the cap and the seat. Hope you like it. As always comments and criticisms are always welcome. I threw in an old photo of what the jacket was like hopefully the new colour is more fitting.

    Thanks,
    Andrew.
