Just finished this, it's for The Gemanic warrior by Pegaso. I've extended the base that comes with it, and covered it in oregano. Painted in varied browns & greens. I know that some of the wires are visable under the ferns.

Nice start Carl. The wooden log could use a brown oil stain to bring out the detail, and the individual fronds of each fern and the leaf litter on the ground could be enhanced by a light dry brush of yellow. I love the fungi!

    Great work on the base.
What disturb me is the black and brown in the left uppercorner. I can't place it.

I think that must be the bark, Mark. May be some more highlights needed.

    Bloody good

Thats an excellent piece Carl. The toadstools rock. Theonly thing I would maybe revisit is the tan colour on the dead wood trunk. As it's dead it would probably be more grey. The tan colour I haven't seen in any tree and maybe would change that.
However as I said truly excellent work.

Hi Carl .... Nice bit of ground work! It's something I find difficult and tedious at the best of times, but that is really nice...
