Now after making a 'Tempter' and a 'Cougar" I have a reputation to defend so here's another questionable new project...... Ibris "Grey beard, Lusty heart'.
The challenge is to stay as close to the painting as possible which means I want to do more then the little vignette..... I want at least to make the visible part of the room being the wall behind the kind lady.

Started with the chair and table which both needed a few parts that I didn't find in the box.

Now the wallrack with plates won't be a problem bus the 2nd chair...... If anybody has a lead to a 1/24 scale ( of halfscale ) chair ( for a reasanable price) that looks like that it would be more than welcome.
It's "dollhouse" scale and I did scroll a lot of those yet but no luck..

Always fancied doing this figure, so looking forward to seeing how things go ... the painting by the way is by
the Russian artist Claudius Petrovich Stepanov ( The 'louche' ageing hero always makes me smile ). Don't know
just how deeply you intend to go with the background thing, but you might have to consider that phenomenon
described as 'theatrical perspective', where you have to introduce certain distortions in perspective angles to
actually make it look right.... good luck Hans

    Some progress is made ...
Items are not in the right position yet. Made a wall and the cloth that is hanging down on it.

Sorry, the little white stuff is sawdust that must be removed.....
Now, imagine this being a painting ...

    To be continued.

Some progress is made. Fun to do but a lot of work. Think I captured the glass carafe quite nice.

Far from ready yet. Need some more scratchbuilding to do. I think it's best to paint the figures by "dotting" them, instead of 'brushing.

Progress. It's hard to get the right colors like the original painting but I think we're getting there...though far from ready yet. 1.JPG
Dotting instead of brushing works fine.

Hi Guys, thanks for all the motivating comments.
Little progress before we're off to the festival.
Been googling for hours to find a good /24 scale chair ( it's in front of the table, see original painting) but no luck yet.
Face needs a bit more color. It's quite hard see hat items are on the original painting but I guess I've got them all now.
