    Daniel,
Wonderful work....love the ancien regime period. The whites are very well done. So you are an acrylic (versus oil) guy?

Sean,i am so sorry,i was so excited to post that i forgot the facing colors.
On the previous figures i've used:

Base,Vallejo Royal purple and a dab of black.
    Lights;base plus ivory.
    shadows;base plus black.

For this grenadier i decided to use the royal purple palette from Foundry,i really like them,it comes in 3 little pots,
Base (nice and not too dark),light and shadow.
I still added some more ivory to the final lights thou.
If you have any other questions i'll be happy to help.
    Best regards

I painted the flag, yes, but i decided to use a Blue/violet hue rather than violet so i could have some contrst between the flag and facing color on the regiment.

Dave, i still have 12 more figures to add :p
I nickname this grenadier "Tom selleck" lol, maybe the pic does not show it very well, but he really resembles the actor.

Jay,i really like the acrylics and i think i am getting the hand of it,i use oils (testors) for the metal parts which i suck at it,not really good but try to learn every day.
I love the "Ancien Regime" period,i have tons of books and color plates.
Thanks for visiting my thread (y)

Another nice addition to your regiment. The simple colour mixes do a really nice job, particularly the whites and pearl greys.

Can't wait for the next one

    White is tricky to paint.
I am still trying to get better at it.
I can't wait to see any yorktown related figure from you, looking forward to it.
