Really nice looking figure from your friend.

Great work on the face I imagine this must be quite small to work on.
The basework looks excellent with just enough to show off the figure but not distract from it.

Getting the uniform well documented hasn't been an easy task. Lucky I had the help of my friend Pepe Gallardo and Fabio Nunnari, italian collector and great expert on the Crimea. Thanks to you guys!
    Hope you like it. Regards

Fantastic painting. The freckled complexion suits the figure really well. The drum looks marvelous also.

Lovely work Fernando. I think it could use some more contrast all around but that's a matter of personal taste i guess.

I agree. I would add that, you make the fields with absolute realism. I will dare to ask one little thing. The drawings of gallons are fleurs-de-lis? I ask you beacouse a few years ago I painted a british drummer with a similar lace and I suffer a hell drawing.
Espero que no te moleste la pregunta.

    Hi, Eduardo
The drawings of gallons are indeed fleurs-de-lis. That detail has been one of those one have to think about prior to painting. In such a scale the miniature has, the best you can do is to portray them as small dots.
Y no me molesta la pregunta, hombre ;)
