Hello my friends,
a few months ago I create a Greek infantryman of the Greek Legion that fought at the siege of Sevastopol supporting the Russian army.
Many of you may not now that 500 Greeks(a batallion) participate in that great war.
The scale is 60mm and is total scratch.
He wears a russian army coat and boots and also carries a russian army rifle with poutches, under the coat he wears the traditional Greek clothes of that era and has a medal awarded from the Greek state for bravery during the Independence war against the Turks.
The hat with the white cross was the common thing for all the men that serve the Legion.
The figure is available as a kit by Athens Miniatures.
Thank you.

Hi Christos!

I like beautiful things and your figure are amazing(y)
The fleshtones are superb and the whites oh my godness...:D

Very nice piece Christos, yes not a very common subject. Another good subject to consider is the early WW 2 Greek Army against the Italian fascists, the Greek Army as small as it was gave them a very bloody nose when the IT's attacked Greece.;)

Costas, Pedro, Steven, Rob and Gordy thank you so much for your compliments.
Rob I have made one subject you mention but I don't have photos except this one:

Hi Christos,
As I look at your work so I love you both sculpting and painting to you.

Excallent like always!! I didn't know you did the figure you posted (in green great coat)! I saw it at Euro last year and it was one of my fav's. I had a bunch of pictures of it, but all the pictures I took at Euro are lost somewhere, which is depressing!

Amazing and perfect finish!
They're very cool in everything.
I liked it very much.
I congratulate completion.
