Thanks Steve, thats a good photo. I thought the garment on Carls model looked more like an anorak than a smock. This thread has been very interesting - so cheers for posting your figure Carl.

I've seen that illustration before - it appeared in one of those 1980s/90s weekly publications called War in Peace, think the artist was Malcolm McGregor. For good illustrations of Glosters in Korea & post-WW2 British kit in general, I don't think you could do much better than Mike Chappell's Wessex Publications books - some can still be found quite cheaply via 2nd-hand dealers on Amazon or AbeBooks.com. Mr. Chappell was a Gloster himself (a Badge no less!) so he's probably the greatest authority on the Regiment.

Very nice work.

Beautifully painted Carl. The camo and groundwork are outstanding. Personally, I'd like to see a bit more dirt, mud and dust on his uniform, but that's a matter of preference. Great job mate.
