Please excuse the wretched photos, but I wanted to show you the corrections I've made based on earlier critique. The figure has been moved a bit forward in the saddle, the knees bent slightly and the boots more or less straightened.

The putty on the figure itself is just there to secure the pose - lots left to do! The last photo is to remind you of the photo reference I'm using for the pose.

    All the best,
    Dan

Sorry Daniel, the rider is still way too far back on the horse. If you look at the photograph the feet in the stirrups are way up close to the horses shoulder. The saddle blanket and saddle need to be moved much further forward on the horses back.

As someone mentioned in an earlier posting, the horse has a shorter back. That's not helping any, but I do see what you mean. Thanks!

It is not the horse. Look at where the back of the saddle cloth sits on the horse in the photo and where the front sits and you will see the whole assembly needs to be moved forward. A horse would not be comfortable to ride in your position and it would be very uncomfortable for the horse.

I've removed the horse blanket, saddle and rider and replaced blanket and saddle in (hopefully) a more appropriate, more forward position. I should be able to take some snaps tomorrow some time. Thanks for the critique!

    All the best,
    Dan
