November's release brought us a German Infantryman bust adding to Young Miniatures ever growing variety of historical and military line of busts and figures. Sculpted by Young and painted by the master painter, Sang Eon Lee this bust has the individual character often found in Young's busts. The adding of the boots tucked under his belt adds a certain story line and offers the painter a challenge to make them worn looking from a cold climate.

Arriving in Young Miniature's traditional heavy black box with all parts sandwiched between layers of foam and the small parts sealed inside a clear plastic bag to insure against loss during shipping.

The bottom photograph shows all the parts laid out for inspection prior to photography.

    Conclusion:
Another beautiful addition to Young Miniatures ever growing line. Expert casting and packaging. Small casting blocks need to be removed prior to assembly and painting. Highly recommended.

A consistently supreme WW2 bust from the best of the best, then, nothing more, or less. I have strong faith in Young Miniatures' diversity in the future. In another word, could we have a 3rd, 4th and then some more Soviet subjects pls?

For Young, a sculptor highly recognised for his facial sculpting leanings, I cant help but notice a recent subtle change for even more pronounced manihood, in the form of very, very strong jaws. This is certainly very welcomed :)

Interestingly, this bust seems to be designed in such a way it can be easily featured without boots. Now the boots are drop-dead gorgeous but the 'without' version is, according to above pics, no less appealing.

Finally, it is a wonderful thing that the scalf section is now moulded with the usually intricate collar as one piece. One previous release required the modeller to fit the collar around the main torso in a manner of 'hugging' and the untrained poor me fell victim of inadquate gluing, leaving behind an unfinished mess...
