Gentleman Bust

Hello All - This is my last miniature I have finished. Finished about 3 months ago. Been to busy with work to take any pictures, but finally took some this weekend. I had not done a bust in a while so this was fun. It is a Resicast bust of a French Gentleman. I got it at the World Expo in the Discount bin for $5.00. It was a pretty good casting overall except for parts of the face. I did not take any in progress pics of the changes I did to the face, but this is what I did. Trimmed down eyebrow bones, made chin and cheek bones more prominent, redid lower left eyelid, made new moustache, redid lips. Basically I thinned his whole face down, he looked like he got bit by a bunch of bees. Nothing done to the rest of the figure.

Enjoy the pics and please feel free to comment in any way.
BTW - all painted in acrylics.

Way to go Bradwich! Fantastic piece! Nice transitions in the fleshtones, the textures and the drum plinth on this piece are great. My only nit-pick would be the eyes. Althought they look pretty good, I think the pupils are a bit too big. Over all though, really well done. One of your best I think. Kepp 'em comin'!

I like it Brad. Very colorful and the flesh tones are well done. Like the base too.

Guy - thanks for your reply. I am not going to Tulsa this year. I have an opportunity to go to Boston with my 14 yr old daughter on kind of a school trip. About 6 adults and 20 kids. It is from June 1-5. So I will do this with my daughter and probably not be able to make any shows this year.

Jay - thanks for your reply also. I would have to lean to agreeing with you about the eyes. His left eye was originally a very large opening and I added lower eyelid with putty to make it smaller, but I think it is smaller than his right eye now. And i think it might also be part of the picture. As I look at it right now, they don't appear to be too large.

Anyway - I miss seeing you, Guy, Adam and all the others at Tulsa.
