    Okay Gordy-

Although I have begun to explore the historical genre, my heart and soul still cling to the garage kit world.

With that said here is one of my older projects. I did this one for my wife.

    Hi Adam,
I'm just starting to explore planetFigure more so I'm late to this thread.
I enjoy the sci-fi/horror/fantasy figures too. There is a very good magazine for this. It's Amazing Figure Modeler. Here's a link to their online site:

    Amazing Figure

They have lots of great articles plus are a great source for kit suppliers.
    I hope this helps.

Yancy, That Gollum figure is fantastic. I saw a version of it painted by the sculptor on the net, but the site is down for the mement so I can't get to it. There are some very talented people doing garage kit work. The sculpting on some of these kits is just unbelievable. Great stuff.~Gary

Yancy: Great paint job on that Gollum. Can you give us some details about the kit? Casting, assembly, quality of the resin...

Where did buy it? How much? I REALLY would like to get one.

    Thanks,

    Quang

    Guy and Quang-

I received my Smeagol kit via the Doll and Hobby shop website for the small and worthwhile fee of $85 plus shipping and handling. Check out their website at
    Doll and Hobby Shop

The kit contains great detail, not much clean up, and a fantastic pose, although I have great concerns on painting the detail under the arms and near the belly.

Dan Perez sculpted this nice little treat and you can check out his site at
    Dan Perez Studios

    Hope this helps.

    All-

Well I hope this goes over well and the site managers do not shoot me. I would like to share some more of my work with you all.

As I stated in earlier posts, I have taken a turn to the historical side of the house, but my history lies with garage kits.

Here are but a few of my pieces. First is a long shot of my 1/1 scale gremlin at the PMFS '02 show in Pennsacola Florida.

    Please excuse my photography.

    And but another.

A bit of info on this kit. It is a 1/1 scale replica pulled directly off of the prop used for the movie "Gremlins." I picked it up through monsters in motion Monsters in Motion for $225 plus postage.

The kit is 98% airbrush work less the eye detail, fingernails, toe nails, and some of the spikes.

It was joy to build and to paint and is one of my most valued pieces.

You will begin to see a pattern in my airbrush work at this time. Not only did I lean towards the fantasy side, I also took a fancy to reptilian skin work.

With that said, please take a look at my 1/3 scale Predator bust.

    Guy-

No problem. I am just happy somebody else likes them.

    How about another pic?

This one currently resides with a friend back in Florida. I sure do miss him, the wolf that is. Just joking Greg.
