Very kind of you to take time to look and comment so positively Alan. I think that at times larger pieces demand a different sculptor, namely one who can no longer work smaller than 90mm.
    Thank you

Thank you for your tireless support of my efforts Kevin,It is very much appreciated.
At this scale the circular medals come out to 9mm.
The peak of the cap is done with 5 rolled out Milliput lengths basicly painted with dots of varying sizes and shades from ocher to cad' yellow.
No sword nor pace stick this time but I have a sculpt some where in my head to put that to rights.
    Thanks for looking in Mate.

Well done Keith, you've really pulled off the sash texture and I like the fabric look on the medals.

    Hi Scotty
Thank you for your kind words and help with this and other 'highland' projects.
The textures are not as difficult as they may look. The Sergeants sash is a suitable thin cord framing a mjlliput sash that I press an artist canvas into. Then remove it to leave the impression of woven cloth.
The medal ribbons are just scored with a craft knife while still soft.
    Cheers Mate

    Outstanding work throughout.
The detailing is incredible, but for me the medals and buttons stand out particularly.
    Very, very well done.
