Diego emailed me the steps to his latest figure. A French Officer in the Italian Campaign when their uniforms were in rags. The figure was inspired by a Keith Rocco Illustration.

I don't get very excited with Napoleonic figures but this figure has definetly perked my interest. Excellent work Diego. I hope to see this one commercially available.

I second that, this is a figure I would buy just for the pose and detail.

    Cheers

    Thanks, John and Xenofon.
Yes, Antonio, that is the illustration. ¡No se te escapa una, macho!
Guy, this figure can´t be reproduced. It is one of a kind.

    Diego,

Nicely sculpted figure. Pitty that it is a one off.

Nicely done Diego! I really like that "stache"! The wear you have achieved on the gaiters, pants and coat bottom is fantastic.

Diego has sent the finished photos of the Officer. His next step is painting.

    Hello Diego,

Looks absolutely great! The pose is very well balanced, and the foldwork and wear is fantastic. Napoleonics are alo not my cup of tea, except for these battle-weary subjects. Painting should be interesting also with plenty of weathering!

    Thanks for posting Guy!

    Best wishes,

    Marijn

    Hola Diego,

Muy Bonitio! You did a very nice job on the pose and clothing. So many sculptors have trouble with the "contra-posto" pose but you have done this exceptionally well.

I am in agreement with Marijn here. Keep up the good work!

Enfin Diego, te ha quedado estupenda, me gusta mucho... ¿Será comercial o es piezo única...?

I wrote a reply some hours ago but my conexion failed just in the moment to add it
Thanks Janne, Marc, Janne and Jean Paul. I´m happy you like it.
Marijn, napoleonics weren´t my cup of tea neither but I´m always interested in campaign uniforms and the individual under these uniforms. I try to portrait an attitude of these individuals or reflect how the enviroment affect them. Hope sometimes achieve this!
Mike I´m glad you like. I´ve been collecting almost all your figures since bought "Sailor Malan" years ago. These are a truly inspiration for me.
Antonio, es pieza única. Luego te mando unas fotos que tengo por aquí de otras cosas. Saluda a la familia de nuestra parte.

    Diego
