I finally finished painting the bust.
I apologize for the long delay in getting this ready for release. We sold our home over the summer and moved to a new home. Everything is still in boxes!
I had a diffacult time finding all my hobby stuff to paint the figure. Also new glasses to get used to, so please over look the painting and the pictures. At least you can see what she looks like with some paint on her. I'm sure you will be able to make her look much better! :)

I think you've done a nice neat paint job on her Nick. I'm also glad to hear you' and Mary are moving into a well earned brand new home. Happy Retirement, you earned it about ten years before you retired.

Also of note to painters who would like to paint the keg differantly. It was probably at Chancellorsville that an arttillery shell shattered her original keg, which she replaced with a keg painted red, white, and blue, with the image of an eagle at one end and "FrenchMary, 114th Pennsylvania" inscribed at the other.

That's very interesting and a nice option .....has this survived ?

Wonder if the eagle was the US or a French version ?

Nap, in a newspaper article on June 19, 1898, it states she still has her red, white, and blue keg. I do not know if it still survives today?
